Socialite and influencer Zari Hassan has cautioned ladies against looking down on broke men when choosing partners for relationships.

While speaking at a conference over the weekend in Kampala, the mother of five advised women not to always be money-minded when finding a man to love.

Giving an example of herself and her ex-husband, Ivan Ssemwanga (RIP), Zari said that, as a woman, sometimes you have to settle for the person your heart wants and build a future alongside them.

Ladies have been told, “You need a rich guy; find him.” Sometimes you’re not gonna find that guy. Sometimes you’re gonna find your person and build. That’s what I did with Ssemwanga. Don’t look down on broke men. Ladies have been told, “He needs to be rich,” but those broke men are human too.
