Apparently, “Nabba Embwa”, the viral freestyle song by ghetto youth sensation WizBu Ranks, has become one of the hottest sounds dominating social media, with TikTok users seemingly unable to get enough of it.
Believe it or not, you can hardly scroll through three or five TikTok videos these days without stumbling upon a dance challenge, business advert or hilarious clip vibing to the catchy freestyle, which was reproduced from the popular “Whine & Kotch” riddim.
As the jam continues to take over the social media space, WizBu Ranks has found himself enjoying a new level of attention, including a television interview on Sanyuka TV, where he opened up about the rather unusual true story that inspired the song.
According to WizBu, “Nabba Embwa” was born out of a real-life incident that saw him land in trouble over a group of dogs he used to walk with.
This song is out of a very, very true story. I had a habit of taking strolls with a group of dogs in my company. But those dogs didn’t belong to me.
So, one day, after making a stroll with the dogs, guys came into our compound claiming that I had stolen their dogs. Then I was taken to prison for just such a cause.
WizBu went on to explain that when he eventually saw the dog he had allegedly been accused of stealing, he could hardly believe the situation.
When I looked at the kind of dog they had accused me of stealing, however much I would have fed it, it wouldn’t yield any positive results.
With the viral success of “Nabba Embwa” comes a number of unexpected blessings for the young star.
WizBu recently received a free haircut and facial makeover from Bryan Barber, finally getting the fresh look he had reportedly admired for a long time.

From struggling in the past to now attracting attention, fans and business opportunities, WizBu Ranks’ fortunes appear to be taking a new turn.
With more business promotional gigs reportedly coming his way, the ghetto star is now using the momentum around “Nabba Embwa” to improve his lifestyle and earn some money.
For now, WizBu Ranks can only hope that the final quarter of the year brings even more blessings, because if the way things have started is anything to go by, “Nabba Embwa” may have opened a whole new chapter in his life.
