Fans planning to attend Vinka Live & Loud on Friday, 21st August 2026 at Lugogo Cricket Oval are being encouraged to arrive much earlier than they would for a typical concert, as organisers have designed the event to be a complete entertainment experience rather than just an evening performance.
The venue gates will open at 3:00 PM, four hours before the main show kicks off at 7:00 PM. According to organisers, the early opening is a deliberate move to give revelers ample time to enjoy a carefully curated festival-style atmosphere packed with activities before Vinka takes to the stage.
From the moment guests walk in, they will be immersed in interactive brand activations, lifestyle experiences, games, product sampling, giveaways and engaging showcases from some of Uganda’s leading brands. The aim is to transform the venue into an all day entertainment destination where fans can explore, interact and create memorable experiences.
Food enthusiasts will also have plenty to enjoy, with a wide selection of food vendors serving both local delicacies and contemporary cuisine, alongside hospitality areas offering refreshing drinks and comfortable spaces to relax with friends and family.
Music will begin long before the headline performance, with top DJs keeping the energy alive throughout the afternoon. Organisers have also teased surprise guest performances before Vinka’s set, promising exciting collaborations and unexpected appearances that make arriving early well worth it.
Speaking about the concept, Mugerwa Robert, Events Manager at Swangz Avenue, said the goal is to deliver value from the moment fans enter the venue.
“This will not be your typical concert; it will be an all-day celebration of music, culture and lifestyle. We’ve intentionally planned to open the gates at 3:00 PM because we want fans to experience everything we’ve curated—from immersive brand activations and great food to refreshing drinks, live entertainment and exciting surprises. We want people to come early, enjoy the atmosphere and be part of the full Vinka Live & Loud experience before the main show begins at exactly 7:00 PM.”
The concert marks a major milestone in Vinka’s career as she headlines her first-ever solo concert after years of producing hit songs such as Love Panic, Bailando, Thank God, Omukwano Gwo, All Over You, Chips Na Ketchup, Batulekeand Sirubala.
Produced by Swangz Avenue, Vinka Live & Loud promises world-class stage production, cutting-edge lighting and sound, immersive visual effects and an unforgettable live experience aimed at setting a new standard for concerts in Uganda.
