More than a concert, THE SO UG EXPERIENCE is an invitation to experience Uganda through the music, stories, identity, and creative expression of one of the country’s most distinctive hip-hop voices.

Built around THE MITH’s artistic journey and his longstanding celebration of Ugandan identity, the event promises an evening dedicated to the sounds, people and experiences that make Uganda unique.

With the theme of taking flight with THE MITH into his Uganda, the experience draws inspiration from a musical journey that takes audiences through the artist’s catalogue, the evolution of Ugandan hip-hop, and the wider cultural influences that have shaped his sound and worldview.

For THE MITH, the event represents an opportunity to bring together music, culture and community in a setting that celebrates what it means to be Ugandan.

The Mith and Navio weigh in on artist-management breakups

From his beginnings as a member of the pioneering Ugandan hip-hop group Klear Kut to his solo career, he has consistently explored identity, belonging, ambition, social consciousness and the complexities of African life through music.

His work has helped shape Ugandan hip-hop, showing how the genre can serve not only as entertainment but also as a platform for storytelling, cultural expression, and reflection.

THE SO UG EXPERIENCE brings these different elements together in a live setting, inviting audiences to revisit the music, discover the stories behind it and connect with the ideas that have defined THE MITH’s journey.

The event’s creative direction is rooted in the concept of a flight into Uganda — a celebration of the country as seen through the eyes of its people, its music and its creative voices. The journey is personal to THE MITH, but its themes are universal: identity, pride, heritage, progress, and the importance of telling our own stories.

Some of the featured artists include Lillian Mbabazi, Maurice Kirya, Navio, Elijah Kitaka, Feffe Bussi, Winnie Nwagi, Bigtril, Flex D’Paper, and more.
