His comments follow a public challenge from Mr. Gashumba, who put up UGX 200 million for any pastor, prophet or apostle who claims to perform miracles.
Mr. Gashumba said such a person should walk into the intensive care unit (ICU) of any big hospital and heal a patient in front of the public.
Frank GashumbaThe challenge has sparked a heated debate on social media and in religious circles.
Some Ugandans support Mr. Gashumba and say faith leaders should be open to testing their claims. Others say miracles cannot be performed on demand or used to win a prize.
