Naira Ali has urged artists to stop attributing their professional and financial struggles to witchcraft, arguing that poor financial planning and personal decisions could also contribute to their downfalls.

In a Facebook post, the singer and media personality called for an honest conversation about financial discipline and the need for entertainers to prepare for life beyond fame.

I’ve noticed something bizarre in our entertainment industry: when artists fall on hard times, some are quick to claim that fellow artists have bewitched them.

Ali argued that not every setback should be blamed on supernatural forces, noting that some challenges arise from poor planning and the unpredictable nature of life.

She observed that many artists focus heavily on maintaining an image of success while neglecting to build financial security for the future, especially given the unpredictable nature of their income.

“We confuse looking wealthy with building wealth,” she noted, adding that fame and hit songs do not necessarily guarantee long-term financial stability.

The singer encouraged artists to embrace financial literacy by learning to budget, live within their means, save money, invest wisely and establish alternative sources of income beyond music.

She, however, acknowledged that even people who make responsible financial decisions can still experience hardships, urging artists to critically examine the choices within their control before attributing their struggles to witchcraft.

The goal is to remain financially stable when the applause stops. Talent can make you money. Financial literacy and discipline help you keep it.
