Swangz Avenue songstress Winnie Nwagi has left fans wondering about her wedding plans after revealing that she will only walk down the aisle when God decides the time is right.

Speaking in an interview, the singer made it clear that she is not rushing into marriage, insisting that she prefers to follow God’s plans rather than put pressure on herself.

Wedding? You love weddings! A wedding, when God wishes, it will happen. I go according to God’s plans.

Nwagi also used the opportunity to challenge society’s obsession with women’s relationships, arguing that there is more to life than chasing or prioritising men.

According to the singer, everyone should be free to live life on their own terms without feeling pressured by society’s expectations.

Let them do what they want. Everyone should do what they want and wish. It’s a free world. The world is not rotating around men.

We’ve got a lot to do, but most of you keep bringing men into the conversation. Every interview you involve the word ‘man’, yet there are other things to discuss.

Despite her strong message about independence, Nwagi was quick to clarify that she has not given up on love and is not discouraging women from pursuing relationships.

Spice Diana says she doesn’t beg for collaborations, claims East African artists want to work with her

Instead, she believes women should put themselves first, love themselves and avoid making men the centre of their existence.

Personally, I’m so much into them. I’m not quitting love and I’m not advising anyone to leave men, but don’t put it as a priority.

Your life should not rotate around men. It’s you first. You first love yourself before thinking of a man.
