This December, Kampala will be hosting Konshens and DJ Maphorisa for a celebration of music, culture and hospitality in East Africa’s Vibe Capital.

On Friday 11th December 2026, Vibe Republic is bringing music lovers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and beyond to Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala. The aim is to get people to experience the music and nightlife Uganda offers.

At the heart of the party are two big International music acts: Konshens, the dancehall king from Jamaica, and DJ Maphorisa the Amapiano King from South Africa. These two sounds come together to create a massive fusion of good vibes. Ugandan music will be part of the shared celebration, with supporting acts to be announced. Local talent will be joining the international headliners, giving the night a very distinct local flavour and identity as it’s a night where the region comes to Uganda.

This maiden event is presented by Explore Uganda, Talent Africa Group, and Swangz Avenue. Then Vibe Republic is a music-led tourism concert about the power of a great live experience to bring people together. The concert’s purpose is to give the region a reason to go, connect, and discover what Uganda offers. It highlights the hospitality, warmth, food, culture, and beauty of the country. For visiting artists and fans, it’s about getting off the stage and into the country, experiencing Uganda and its hospitality at the heart of it.

Vibe Republic is here to promote regional travel through music, enhance Uganda’s efforts as an entertainment destination, and give Ugandan artists a platform to perform alongside international acts. It brings together dancehall and Amapiano audiences, acting as a catalyst for cultural exchange, with music as the medium for connection and discovery.

The spirit is clear in the two calls: “Together We Vibe” from Uganda throughout East Africa. The Vibe Republic welcomes its people through a love of music, encouraging friends, first-time visitors, and regulars to be part of the vibe.

The aim is to put on the biggest party of the year, with a heavy mix of Dancehall, Amapiano, and a bit of Ugandan energy on Friday 11th December 2026 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, Kampala.
