Dancehall singer Karole Kasita has apologised to fellow musician Yung Mulo for not attending his concert

Kasita, during a YouTube interview, defended herself for not showing up for Yung Mulo despite him being her friend, revealing that she was aware that the singer had a concert but didn’t take an extra step to advertise it.

“I sincerely apologise to him. I want him to forgive me. I do not know why I didn’t post about his show or even talk about it. I’m guilty as charged. To be sincere I do not think I got to know about it enough. I might have skipped it and I’m really sorry,” she said.

On Independence Day, Yung Mulo had his concert at Fusion Auto Spa, Munyonyo, attended by a few of his fellow artists, including Jowy Landa, Ziza Bafana, King Saha, Bula Biso, Red Banton, Navio, among others,

Karole Kasita explained that the narrative that his show flopped was being pushed by the media. She asked the public not to criticize those who didn’t attend the concert, noting that they may have had their personal reasons to explain their absence.

“People supported him. It is the media claiming otherwise. The media is trying to push a certain narrative but people came through. I may not know who attended but I know they came through. Even if you get one person at your show, that is your fan and it is enough to show that you have support.

I think artists choose who they want to support and who they do not want. They have their own reasons and I cannot speak for them as to why they didn’t turn up. I speak for myself,” she said.
