Leone Island singer Jose Chameleone has addressed allegations that he faked the money receipt received from his longtime friend, Fred Zink.
A few days ago, Jose Chameleone took to his WhatsApp status, sharing a screenshot of his conversation with one of his friends, Fred Zink.
In the chat, Zink shared a screenshot of a bank transaction of USD 800,000 through JPMorgan Bank sent to Chameleone’s account and asked him to confirm if he had received the money.
The singer confirmed to have received the money in his account and thanked his gifter. The receipt immediately sparked a social media debate, with a section of critics calling it fake. Some went as far as analyzing it, pointing out the tiny details that which they thought were altered.
Chameleone was audibly angry during his live broadcast, denied the allegations, emphasizing that he had indeed received the money, and that it was a sponsorship from Trace TV.

“People saying I faked the receipt of the money I received, just give me your name so I give you money. Fred sent me that money from Trace Sponsorship. I do not fake life. If you fake your lives from looks to everything, I do not,” he said.
Uganda’s arguably No. 1 music artiste needs to stop the vulgarity in his increasingly rant-filled outbursts! He can express his disagreements with anyone without resorting to vulgar language. It reflects very badly on him. Very badly! https://t.co/UFJNec7Apq
