Singer Irene Ntale has shared her fertility struggles and the ridicule she has gone through at the hands of social media trolls.
In a post on her TikTok account, the singer expressed her distress over the negative comments from people who have made it a point to remind her that she hasn’t yet given her husband a child despite being officially married.
Irene expressed her desire to be a mother but revealed her body was not in a position to do it for her yet, revealing that she was disappointed and disturbed by the constant reminders and ridicule that have now become unbearable.
“Life is so weird! You wake up one day and you want to have kids and then your body isn’t in position to do it for you just yet and then you try your best and get it to heal and then while you are at it, it’s chaos and storms. People still shame you for not having Children. People really assume the position of God! Wow! God hold me! Because tonight is exceptionally difficult,” she shared.
Ntale’s outcry drew mixed reactions from several notable figures, including singers A Pass, Julie Mutesasira, and Vivian Tendo, who reached out to encourage her.
