The 4th edition of iKON Awards Nominees were announced on 24th October 2026, featuring filmmakers’ dialogue on cross-border collaboration

A total of 121 films from the 26 categories have been selected for voting. The categories also comprise 24 nominations from across Africa.

In his speech, Humphrey Nabimanya, Founder of iKON Awards, reemphasised the importance of working together: “Collaboration is essential to building a strong film industry because no single filmmaker can tell Africa’s stories alone,” he said.

The 4th edition of iKON Awards will be held on 12 December 2026, live at Serena Hotel, Kampala, under the theme: Beyond Border, which aims to foster cross-border partnerships.
