Singer Mary Bata has claimed that she recently experienced a frightening incident after receiving a birthday gift containing what she described as strange items, prompting her to seek spiritual intervention from her pastor.

Speaking on the Allan Cruz podcast, Mary Bata revealed that the incident has made her reconsider accepting gifts from people, saying she would only be comfortable receiving gifts such as cars or land in the future.

She explained that one of the people who attended her birthday party had apologised for not getting her a gift in time but promised to send it later. However, when the package eventually arrived about a month later, its contents left her frightened.

So what happened, one of the people who attended my birthday party said they didn’t manage to get me a gift in time but said they’ll send it over soon.

After a month, they sent me a package that contained different strange things, and I got scared.

The singer said the experience strengthened her belief that witchcraft exists, adding that she feared something bad could have happened to her had she not acted carefully.

Mary Bata further revealed that she contacted her pastor, who came and prayed over the package before burning its contents.

“I called my pastor, and he came and prayed for it and burnt the gift,” she said.

Following the incident, the singer said she had resolved to be more cautious about accepting gifts, particularly from people whose intentions she may not fully understand.
