Former NBS TV news anchor Mildred Tuhaise has joined the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), taking on a new role as Manager of Public Engagement and Brand Ambassadorship.
Tuhaise’s appointment was announced by NWSC’s Directorate of Public Relations and Communication, which welcomed her to the corporation and highlighted her experience in media and strategic communication.
“We warmly welcome Ms Mildred Tuhaise, who joins us as Manager, Public Engagement and Brand Ambassadorship,” the corporation said in a statement.
NWSC described Tuhaise as a strategic media and communication professional with extensive experience at both national and institutional levels, noting that she brings together expertise in journalism, corporate communication and public sector management.
The corporation also praised her ability to manage complex communication challenges, particularly when dealing with sensitive matters.

“Mildred is skilled in handling sensitive issues, shaping institutional narratives, and advising senior leadership on communication risks and opportunities,” the statement added.
Her new role will see her focus on strengthening public engagement and enhancing the corporation’s brand while contributing to how NWSC communicates with its various audiences and stakeholders.
Tuhaise joined the public sector after leaving Next Media at the end of May 2026, marking the end of nearly two decades in broadcast journalism.
