Flavia Tumusiime, the Head of Broadcast at Nation Media Group (NMG), has denied claims by media personality Kasuku that she called him for a meeting to discuss renewing his contract at Dembe FM and Spark TV before he eventually left the media houses.

Kasuku recently made the claims while appearing on a podcast, where he recounted the circumstances surrounding his departure from the two NMG-owned media platforms.

According to Kasuku, Flavia contacted him for talks about renewing his contract but allegedly instructed the head of security not to allow him onto the premises.

“Flavia Tumusiime called me for talks to renew my contract but she turned around and allegedly told the head of security not to let me into the premises,” Kasuku said while explaining why he quit Dembe FM and Spark TV.

However, Flavia dismissed the account after responding to a post containing the allegations on X, formerly Twitter.

“This is false!” she wrote, directly rejecting Kasuku’s claims.

Kasuku: Why side chick business is paying well

Kasuku was quick to challenge her denial, insisting that their meeting took place and questioning which part of his account she disputed.

What is false Flavia! Did you call me for a meeting or not? Didn’t we meet in your office at Serena for almost two hours? Didn’t you tell me about the contract and I said I was done? Didn’t the head of security call me and tell me whatever I said there? What is false?

The exchange has brought renewed attention to Kasuku’s departure from Dembe FM and Spark TV, where he was among the employees laid off during a restructuring exercise in 2024.

Since leaving the traditional media platforms, Kasuku has focused on digital broadcasting through his YouTube channel, Kasuku Live, where he has built a substantial following through celebrity interviews, entertainment discussions and trending stories.
