The Makerere University Freshers Ball has always been an event to look forward to, but this year’s edition seems to be grabbing more headlines due to a couple of forgettable incidents.
Held at the Impis Rugby on Saturday, the MAK Freshers Ball 2026 attracted large crowds of students who turned up to watch their favorite entertainers perform.

When Fik Fameica stepped on stage to perform, however, the energy seemed to heighten a notch. With his song Siaka Siaka, the crowds grew wild.

The rapper was involved in an incident with the MAK Guild President, Gracious Kadondi, as she reportedly interrupted his performance to have a word with the students.
Fik Fameica’s team, however, didn’t let her, causing a slight altercation on stage before the security on the ground was involved. The rapper continued to perform, and the crowd loved it.

But that wasn’t all!
In other clips cited by Mbu, an unidentified female found higher ground at some point during the MAK Freshers Ball and decided to go topless.
When she heard loud cheers from the crowd, she pulled down her shorts too, leaving nothing to the imagination as the crowd grew wilder, before she was pulled down off the platform.
Both incidents have been met with divergent opinions, with critics pointing out how they could have “ruined” such a good event for the students.
The university management has yet to comment on the incidents, but social media continues to be littered with various clips showing different angles of both.
