Former Kampala Lord Mayor and Kampala Central MP Erias Lukwago has reportedly been rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital in critical condition, according to an update shared by his former deputy, Doreen Nyanjura Omutatina.
Lukwago has reportedly been battling several health complications for some time, including respiratory problems that had caused him severe breathing difficulties.
His health concerns have also included spinal complications, persistent upper limb radiculitis and severe pain around a previous surgical site.
He was reportedly advised to seek a review by his primary spine surgeons in India.
Doctors at Mulago Hospital were previously unable to conduct a new MRI scan because they could not establish the type of artificial spinal implants used during his earlier surgery.
