Diamond Platnumz has revealed his plans to release a collaboration with a Ugandan artist very soon after several failed attempts in recent years.
The Tanzanian singer, who flew into the +256 on Thursday ahead of a performance, states that next year, or even before the end of this year, he should have a music project featuring a Ugandan artist released.
The Wasafi boss, at a press conference held in Kampala on Thursday evening, noted that he has hit the studio with more Ugandan artists than artists from any other part of the world.
There have been rumors in recent years about the singer collaborating with artists like Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, and Gloria Bugie, and many others, but the said projects have never seen the light of day.
Diamond Platnumz confirms Spice Diana collaboration
However, something always happens to the projects recorded, and they never get released. He believes it is due to God’s plan.
Diamond believes that God could be planning a major collaboration that would dominate the airwaves globally, and very soon we shall get to listen to it.
Honestly, it’s just God and timing because I have done more songs with different artists from here than I’ve done with any artists from any other country. Unfortunately, none of those songs are out yet. And between the respective artists and me, no one can blame the other because it’s just a matter of timing.
Maybe God plans something very big because Tanzania and Uganda have a good history. Maybe god plans a very big global song coz we’ve been working, but every time we try, things come in between. But maybe next year or at the end of this year, we may have a song out. I’ve always wanted to have a song with an artist here.
