TNS singer Ava Peace has hit back at media personality Omulangira Ndausi after he branded her one of manager Jeff Kiwa’s ‘failed projects’ in the music industry.

Recently, Ndausi questioned the returns on the investment made in Ava Peace, arguing that the singer should have achieved more than she has so far, given the resources and support put into her career.

However, Ava Peace was quick to challenge his assessment, reminding him that building a successful music career takes time, patience and perseverance.

She also questioned the basis of his conclusion, arguing that she is still on her journey to the top.

I don’t know what Omulangira Ndausi based his conclusion on to describe me that way, but what I can tell him is that Rome wasn’t built in one day.

There are hardships and so many other challenges, but eventually, someone gets to win.

Ava Peace also wondered why some people appeared determined to compare her with fellow singer Sheebah, whom she openly acknowledges as one of her inspirations in the music industry.

She pointed out that Sheebah joined the Obsessions music group in 2006, when Ava Peace was still in Primary One, suggesting that their journeys and levels of experience should be considered before drawing comparisons.

Let me assume Sheebah joined Obsessions in 2006. By that time, I was in Primary One, over 20 years ago, when I was still in lower primary.

So, I wonder why someone would see me as a threat that pains them so much that they compare me to someone I’ve been taking lessons from.

It would be a lie if I denied that I grew up watching Sheebah. She has done lots of good things and made me believe that I can also make it to the top level.

Sheebah has never treated me badly; don’t sabotage my chance to collaborate with her – Ava Peace tells off critics

The singer further defended her relationship with Sheebah, insisting that she has never had any bad intentions towards her or publicly disrespected her.

According to Ava Peace, she even went back to review her old videos in an attempt to establish whether she had ever said or done anything that could have been interpreted as looking down on Sheebah, but she could not find any such incident.

She has never treated me badly at all. I wonder why the team would continue poking me. I’ve never insulted or abused Sheebah at any single moment.

I even revisited all my old videos to figure out if there was a day I looked down on her, but I failed to find one.
